I finally set up an external spot for my art blog that's based on a blogging system, so I can finally get comments on my stuff. I'm calling it Dreaming in Color and it's located here, and pretty much as soon as I started tinkering around with Wordpress, I gave up on the idea of making it match the main site, because all their themes are so much fun. So, I will finally harass people into making their mark on my artistic endeavors. (:

I actually have updated the site since Christmas. xD I just haven't updated the updates. Haha.
More than likely, you'll always find a recent entry in my Art Blog, and I try to cram those full of pictures. I have also tweaked my "About Me" page, and am contemplating the best way to go about elaborating on Myoku's page (accessed through the "Stories" link.)

Going to a Christian school has upped my Christmas spirit a bit because so many more people are actually celebrating Christmas because of Christ. :)
Plus, I've been so obsessed with Danyil & Ingrid as a couple lately that this picture was sort of a natural "duh.":)

05.26.09 *grumble* this stupid website has just been paid for. On that note, friends - never believe a good discount, 'cause it'll probably only last once! And how painful, to go to Dreamhost and see an offer to pay $9.24 for a year of services, and then have to go pay $119.24 for MY year of service! D: Oh, woe! Woe!...Um.

I got through another revision of Redefining Evil! *sob* I added this scene and I think it like, made the story. Yay Maika & Danyil! (p.s. Mei is such a babe *points to av*)
05.24.09 WHOA it's about time I updated this updates box!
I've been working on the site much more consistently than this page makes it seem. Haha.
Today I added about 6 new pictures to the pictures page from various stories - that was a fun project! And I also update my blog pretty regularly, actually.
Lately I've been music-ing - Hotspur is the newest sound I sort of like, for some reason...it's a cross between alternative-esque vocals and rock with more melodic structure than some classic rock, but not a drop of pop as in many alternative bands. ... I'll probably be over them in a week, but that's the here and now. xD
Otherwise, well, my $119 fee for my website is due within the next few weeks, and although I'm REALLY not that thrilled about that. Shilin got me $50 off when I first signed up, so this fee has a lot bigger bite.
But especially now, well, I just like having a website. It's good busy work, and it's really satisfying. So as far as I'm concerned, I'm going to keep it up even if it means depleting my savings again. Besides, I'll be getting grad money in a few weeks. That'll probably make up.
So yeah! Enjoy the new thingses.

Remember Redefining Evil? The story based on Frank Peretti's books, my faith, and Nikkei (zomg what more can i ask for) -- starring Myoku...well, that one? I'm redoing it. Ooooh, big deal, right? RIGHT! :D I'm going to be inking all the pages -- I've done two pages by hand, but I'm thinking I mighhtttt do them on the computer. =/ I don't want to, but for efficiency's sake...anyway, well, I've uploaded the first two pages for your viewing pleasure and, given the nature of my endeavor (inking + computer + professional-looking = I'm going to attempt to publish it), I would LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK. :D Here they are:

Just wanted to stop in. I'm sure I'll be adding quite a bit to the site come Thanksgiving Break (Wednesday-Sunday)! :] I'm excited. Not to mention I don't have that much left to write for the story. Unfortunately, though, I'm more excited to be done with this and start something new than anything. I've begun to give my methods some thought and realize I think I want to completely plan out my next story so I don't run into problems like I did with this one again. I mean, Nikkei was fine to write spontaneously. RE I changed so much of it that it didn't matter, but I still had a lot of problems with it. Rebels had the same problems as ...WtR because of a lack of pre-writing. Therefore, I must pre-write. D:
Also going to work hard on settling on good character designs before I start. Because like, I like the way Solaris looks but I'm sick of people saying he looks like a woman. D: But there's no harm in doing that - planning ahead. At least, I'll try it. There's no reason not to. :]
Anyway, watch for updates in the coming week. :D love.

And I changed a lot of the dialogue so it fits more with what the story becomes by the second volume.
Gosh though, it took like 2 hours to put on that stupid chapter! So you'd better like it! :D I also switch to "Georgia" rather than the stupid manga font I was using. I CAN WRITE THE WAY I WANNA WRITE KTHX.
I hate people. ;_;

I added a whole bunch of new pictures. Also added myself a blog that you can get to through my "about me" page. Also, most interestingly, if you go to the all the Other Stories page and then go to Myoku, you'll be able to read a page from each of the four stories that he's in. I love that. ;_; And I love seeing his character grow. So really I did that because I like it, sorry. xD
So I guess Margaret really got me motivated to work on this site. o.o; Thanks, Margaret! :D
But yeah that's mainly what's been updated. I'm holding off on adding more pages because I'm not sure if I'm going to change something that appears early in the story or not. (excuses excuses.)

Recruited Margaret to the cause. She's basically this amazing, quirky, stella chick who really loves to organize. So, although I (Mary) formatted the new Navigation area, most of it was her brilliant idea. Oh, and then she fixed the Navigation on the other pages too, except for the actual story pages because those came up in secret code on her computer. But anyway, thanks Margaret! You rock my emo socks! And no, of course Margaret did not write this herself. 0-:)

this little cutie is Yuca, from Kaori Ozaki's SUPER AMAZING MANGA Immortal Rain. (Yuca's actually a freaking douchebag...or has been x])
Ask me about it if you haven't heard of it, because Ozaki's my freakin' role model; she's amazing & excellent & original...and the next volume's finally coming out!
Added a bunch of new pictures. Updated the summary of "...wtr" part with character profiles.
