Hello There!

You've stumbled upon o-my-soul.net, a little personal website dedicated to Mary's artistic endeavors. Feel free to look around. There are some pretty pictures, and a little splotch of artistic ramblings, and a fancy shmancy pop-up of stuff about my stories. This stuff kind of lays bare my heart & soul, so I hope you find some pleasure of your own in it. :)

About the Layout

Ahaha! I love this layout! It features Sophie Lemars, from my novel Farewell, Fairytale. Sophie has also appeared as Ingrid in Redefining Evil, and even further back as Mikara in my first story, Nikkei. She has always been an emblem for my daydreaming side; in fact, she as a character is kind of my ideal self. The image was fun with its perspective, and this layout utilizes color theory like I learned it in college. Hence why it's quite a bit easier on the eyes than the last layout.
So, this layout is a gem for several reasons! First, it incorperates both an image map (the links) and an iframe! I haven't worked with an image map except for the story link and in layouts from a long time ago. As for iframes, I have only tackled them once before, probably three years ago. I didn't think I could do it anymore! Everything in this is designed by myself except for the Edgar Allen Poe quote and the floral background. No stamp abuse in THIS layout!
I think this design is fun and dreamy, exactly like I wanted it to be.

I finally set up an external spot for my art blog that's based on a blogging system, so I can finally get comments on my stuff. I'm calling it Dreaming in Color and it's located here, and pretty much as soon as I started tinkering around with Wordpress, I gave up on the idea of making it match the main site, because all their themes are so much fun. So, I will finally harass people into making their mark on my artistic endeavors. (:

I actually have updated the site since Christmas. xD I just haven't updated the updates. Haha.
More than likely, you'll always find a recent entry in my Art Blog, and I try to cram those full of pictures. I have also tweaked my "About Me" page, and am contemplating the best way to go about elaborating on Myoku's page (accessed through the "Stories" link.)

Going to a Christian school has upped my Christmas spirit a bit because so many more people are actually celebrating Christmas because of Christ. :)
Plus, I've been so obsessed with Danyil & Ingrid as a couple lately that this picture was sort of a natural "duh.":)
